The exterior of the Cathedral displays a large collection of sculpture and points of historical interest. The latest addition to these was in 2005 with the completion of the statues on the West Front.

There are also some good views to be had over the surrounding land. The Cathedral emphasis now that the building is complete is on the development of the surrounding land.
