St Dwynwen cross on Llanddwyn island - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT

Erected in 1879 the St Dwynwen's cross stands on the highest point of Llanddwyn island (which is only about 20m high). Dwynwen is the Welsh patron of lovers and her day (25 January) is the Welsh equivalent of St. Valentine which is still celebrated in Wales. Llanddwyn means "The church of St. Dwynwen"
