Uvala Ježinac (Jezinac bay and beach) is popular with locals, being a little distance from the centre of Split on the southern side of the Marjan Hill. The beach has a couple of cafes providing refreshments, bar, amenities and car park. The coastline here is beautiful with clear views over to Čiovo island.

Just to the east is Uvala Zvoncac cove, which has swimming but no beach. Just above the beach are Meštrović Gallery and the Kaštelet Meštrović, a chapel in which is now an art gallery. Both of these are tourist attractions.

Flight: Split International Airport found 20km west of Split, transfer by either taxi or bus.
Ferry: Regular ferries from Dubrovnik, Korcula, Mljet, Pescara, Rijeka, Vis, Hvar, Spetare (Brač), Stari Grad, Drvenik and Ancona in Italy.
Road: Split lies on the 8 coastal road, about 30km north of Omiš and 60km north of Makarska. It is 150km south of Zadar.
