The crazy golf (mini-golf) course in Hastings is run by Hastings Adventure & Crazy Golf and is a very popular tourist attraction along the sea front. The overall course contains 19 holes, based around a pirate theme. As crazy golfers go round the course, pirate challenges and greetings come out over speakers, and two ships even exchange canon fire on occasion.
Also known as the Arnold Palmer Crazy Golf, the Hastings Crazy Golf course has hosted the World Crazy Golf Championships every year since 2003. This two-day event pits the worlds best against the lighthouses, windmills and waterwheels of the course. Part of the competition is also played on the neighbouring mini-golf course. The competition is managed by the Mini Golfer Association, which is based in St Leonards, entrants must be over 14 years old and pre-entry is a must as the places book out early.
Hastings Crazy Golf lies on the beach front below West Hill, Cliff Rly and Hastings Castle. Nearby are many other popular tourist attractions, theme-park like rides and amusements, including go-carting.
