The Hastings Museum and Gallery (HMAG) contains exhibitions and displays of both the local flora, fauna and geology around Hastings as well as displays from other places, such as the Indians in America. In addition to the permanent exhibits, HMAG also has changing displays and temporary exhibitions throughout the year.
The Hastings Museum and Gallery is found west of , away from many of the tourist attractions on the shoreline. It is housed in great building, the highlight of which is Dunbar Hall, full of rich wood carvings and panelling, created for the Colonial and Indian Exhibition held in South Kensington in 1886.
Entrance to HMAG is free, and there is parking outside.

TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE
Road: The Hastings Museum and Art Gallery is next to the A21, about half a mile from Hastings Train Station. Hastings is on the A259 and A21. It is 17 miles east of Eastbourne and 51 miles west of Dover, and 61 miles southeast of London.
Rail: Hastings Railway Station, St Leonards Warrior Square Rail Station.
