Battle in on the Hastings Line mainline which runs from London, through Tunbridge Wells and Battle before terminating at Hastings. The station was designed by William Tress and opened in 1852. A Grade II listed building, it is considered one of the finest examples Gothic style small stations in England.
Battle stations has two lines, linked by the footbridge from which this panoramic image was taken. It is about 15 minutes walk from central Battle and Battle Abbey, the main tourist attraction in Battle.
