A picturesque town situated at the start of the Simplon Pass in the Swiss canton of the Valais.
This little square in the old town is full of restaurants and shops and leads directly to the main station where the railway lines of Bern-Lötschberg-Simplon and Matterhorn-Gotthard meet. From here you can catch the famous Glacier Express linking Zermatt and St Moritz, or take the route south through the Simplon Tunnel to Italy.
