Lake Hardy is located a the southern entrance of the Murray Sunset National Park near the site of the former state school and the tennis court of the small settlement for the salt harvesting facility that operated until 1976.

Lake Hardy is one of the smaller Pink Lakes in Murray Sunset National Park, near to the park entrance. The largest, and most popular, of theses salt lakes is Lake Crosbie, where there is also an outdoor Salt Museum showing the rusting remains of the salt harvesting industry that took place here between 1916-79.
The other popular nearby pink lakes are Lake Kenyon to the east and Lake Becking to the north.
TRAVEL DIRECTIONS AND GETTING THERE
Car: Lake Hardy lies next to Pioneer Track at the south east of the park, about 14km north of Linga and 17km north of Underbool on the Mallee Highway (B12). It is about 70km from Ouyen. Murray Sunset National Park is about 500km north of Melbourne and 300km south of Adelaide.
