The Talybont Turbine is based on Talybont reservoir and can supply quarter of the village Talybont-on-Usk with a green energy. The Talybond reservoir was originaly build in 1930 as a water supply for Newport. The dam collects water from the river Caerfanell. Beautiful scenery. A close place to see is Blaen y Glyn forrest with its waterfalls.

The Talybont Reservoir is a 3km long reservoir is surrounded by steep hill, forestry and farmland in the center of the Brecon Beacons in Wales, about 3km south of Talybont-on-Usk. The reservoir is a popular attraction, with a road crossing the 380 metre long dam. On the eastern side of the reservoir is Talybont Forest, with trails linking up to Brinore Tramroad and Taff Trail.

The nearest village is Aber Village, but the nearest with any facilities is Talybont-on-Usk, which has a Post Office with National Park information, several pubs and some Bed-&-Breakfast places.

A road leads down the western side to Abercynafon and then on to Torpantau and Pentwyn Reservoir. This road offers good views across Talybont Reservoir.

Car: Talybont Reservoir is is 1.5km south of Talybont-on-Usk, which is 8km south east of Brecon on the A40.
