The Gornergrat - PHOTOGRAPHER COMMENT

This is the view from the Gornergrat, the top station on the Gornergratbahn cogwheel railway, opened in 1898 and the highest open-air railway in Europe and which climbs 1500m from the town of Zermatt.
At just over 3,000m it offers a view of more than 20 four-thousand metre peaks, including the famous Matterhorn which can just be seen here above the left hand observatory dome, and also the Weisshorn.
