Supporters would claim that nothing can match it on the Mallorca or Ibiza, let alone the rest of Menorca.Naturally, such a prime location could not go untouched, and the cala has been heavily developed. Thankfully the addition of numerous beach hotels and holiday resorts have not damaged the beauty of Cala Galdana too much (as can be seen from the panorama from the headlands of Cala Galdana.
There is relatively easy access to nearby beaches like Cala Macarella, Cala Mitjana and Cala Trebaluger.
For these reasons Cala Galdana remains one of the more popular holiday destinations in Menorca for those seeking a break in the sun.
Cala Santa Galdana can be reached via the PM-714 road from Ferreries (a town about half way down the middle of Menorca) or from Ciutadella de Menorca via Sant Joan Gran along some tiny country lanes.
