Cala Macarella lies between Cala en Turqueta and Cala Santa Galdana in Menorca. It is undeveloped with no hotel beach resorts, no clusters of villas and appartments, and, therefore, no hordes of tourists. The beach dose have sun beds and pedallos for hire, and there is a small bar, but much that is common to the larger beach resorts is thankfully absent.

Cala Macarella is surrounded by steep cliffs and partial woodland. The long sandy beach slopes gently into the sea.

Road: Cala Macarella is 14km south of Ciutadella. Take the road through Sant Joan Gran and then follow a country lane to Cala Macarella, near to Macarella.
Walk: 40 minutes along the coast from Cala Santa Galdana.
