The cheapest way to get from Menorca to Mallorca is via ferry, which depart from either Ciutadella for Alcudia or from Mahon for Palma. The Mahon ferry is the faster service, but Ciutadella is the historical capital of the island and contains more history. Leaving Ciutadella Harbour is quite an interesting affair as the ferry travels down the narrow neck of the port before reaching open seas. The crossing takes a couple of hours.
