Adelaide has a number of golf courses close to the city center which together form the City of Adelaide Golf Links. The North Course is set on the north west side of North Adelaide, close to Adelaide CBD. It is Par 96 course with 18 holes. This course is slightly shorter and less challenging than the South Course. It is often used by secondary schools and is the location of championship rounds played here annually. Many profesional golfers from South Australia have practiced and played on the North Course.

From central Adelaide take Montefiore Raod north over Victoria Bridge past the Torrens Lake. This proceeds up a hill becoming Jeffcott Street. Just before Wellington Square turn left into Ward Street, which becomes Strangways Tce.
