Melbourne is the capital city of Victoria in Australia. The city, founded in 1835, is built around Port Phillip Bay and is the second most populated city in Australia. Melbourne is often called the sporting and cultural capital of Australia, and has a strong reputation for museums, restaurants, theaters and the like. As such, it is a very popular tourist and holiday destination in Australia. Many of those who come to Melbourne also explore the Yarra Valley, known for wine growing, and the Great Ocean Road, most famous for the Twelve ApostlesThis map of Melbourne shows the location of many of the sights and attractions of Melbourne.
