This is a popular viewing point by the gift shop on the main C710 road which winds through the Tramuntana mountains of northern Mallorca. The slightly darker area with the sea behind, marks the 200m high cliffs of the famous Torrent de Pareis Gorge, one of Mallorca's most scenic wonders. A little further up the road is Escorca, where the footpath leading down to the gorge begins opposite the restaurant.

Escora is one of the small settlements on the Ma-10, the mountain road that winds it's way along the north-western coast of Mallorca. It is close to Lluc at the junction of the Ma-10 and MA-2130 from Inca.
