Waipu is a small town on the east coast of Northland in New Zealand, famous as the location of the Scottish Highlander Settlement. Nearby attractions include Waipu Cove and Waipu Caves with glow worms.

Waipu is on SH1, about 40km (30 mins) south of Whanarei and 130km (2 hours) north of Auckland.
